     Edmond Christian was born at The Flatt, Maughold, Isle of Man.1 He was the son of Matthias Christian and Isabel Kelly.1 He married Jane Curphey, daughter of Quayle Curphey and Alicia Christian, in 1758.1 He died at Pooildhooie, Maughold, Isle of Man.1
     Edmond Christian held the office of Captain of the Ramsey Fort.1 The Pooildhooie property was presented to him by his father as a wedding present.1

     Captain Charles Alden Hiern was born in 1799 at Essex County, New York, U.S.A..1 He was the son of Roger Alden Hiern.1 He married Catherine Christian, daughter of Edward Christian and Catherine Kelly.1 He died on 28 February 1846, he was mortally injured during a fierce storm at sea, and died the next day.1 He was buried on 11 March 1846 at Kirk Lezayre, Isle of Man.1
     Captain Charles Alden Hiern was a merchant navy captain on the Liverpool-New York immigrant ship run.1

     Margaret Elizabeth Stephenson was born at Wallridge Hall, Chester-le-Street, Durham, County Durham, England.1 She was the daughter of J. Stephenson.1 She married Edmond Quayle Christian, son of Edward Christian and Catherine Kelly, circa 1850.1 She died after 1872.1
     In 1872 she sold Pooildhooie to Reverend William Bell Christian.1
