     Hon. Arthur Napier Thomas Baring was born on 3 June 1854.1 He was the son of Thomas George Baring, 1st Earl of Northbrook and Elizabeth Harriett Sturt.1 He died on 7 September 1870 at age 16, lost at sea in the Captain.1
     He gained the rank of cadet in the service of the Royal Navy.1
