     Joseph Abraham Salt was born circa 1862 at England.1 He married Sarah Eunice Quintal, daughter of Abraham Blatchly Quintal and Esther Maria Nobbs, on 14 April 1887 at Norfolk Island.1
     The family first moved to New Zealand, then to Norfolk. In 1893, they
returned to New Zealand where they were one of the first Seventh-Day Adventist
families in the church at Kaeo.1 He was Carpenter.1
