Henry Francis Roper-Curzon, 14th Baron Teynham was born on 9 May 1767.2 He was the son of Francis Roper and Mary Lyttelton.3 He married, firstly, Bridget Hawkins, daughter of Thomas Hawkins, on 21 May 1788.2 He married, secondly, Sarah Brabazon, daughter of Sir Anthony Brabazon, 1st Bt. and Anne Molyneux, on 16 July 1828.2 He died on 8 March 1842 at age 74.2
He was given the name of Henry Francis Roper at birth.2 He was Northamptonshire.2 He succeeded to the title of 14th Baron Teynham. On 22 February 1788 his name was legally changed to Henry Francis Curson by Royal Licence, on inheriting his cousin, John Barnewall-Curson's estate at Water Perry, Northamptonshire.2 On 2 June 1813 his name was legally changed to Henry Francis Roper-Curzon by Royal Licence.2
