Marcella Harriett Fitzmaurice was born on 20 September 1880 at Lower Hutt, New Zealand.1 She was the daughter of Gerald Fitzmaurice and Lucilla Amelia Smith.1 She married Andrew Des Fountain Sampson, son of Andrew Sampson and Mary Molloy, in 1900 at Wellington, New Zealand.1 She died on 9 November 1958 at age 78.1
