     Ralph William Ernest Beckett, 3rd Baron Grimthorpe was born on 3 May 1891.3 He was the son of Ernest William Beckett, 2nd Baron Grimthorpe and Lucy Lee.4 He married, firstly, Mary Alice Archdale, daughter of Colonel Mervyn Henry Archdale and Mary de Bathe, on 3 September 1914.1 He and Mary Alice Archdale were divorced in 1945.3 He married, secondly, Angela Courage, daughter of Edward Hubert Courage and Beatrice Mary Awdry, on 25 March 1945.3 He died on 22 February 1963 at age 71.1
     He was educated in 1903 at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.5 He was educated at University College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.3 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.3 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Yorkshire Hussars.3 He gained the title of 3rd Baron Grimthorpe, of Grimthorpe, in the East Riding, co. York [U.K., 1886] on 9 May 1917.3 He succeeded as the 7th Baronet Beckett, of Leeds, co. Yorks and Somerby Park, Gainsboorugh, co. Lincoln [U.K., 1813] on 9 May 1917.4 He gained the rank of Temporary Lieutenant in the Royal Air Force.3 He was Lieutenant-Colonel of the Yorkshire Hussars between 1936 and 1940.3 He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.3 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of hte West Riding of Yorkshire.1 He lived in 1950 at Easthorpe Hall, Malton, EnglandG.5

Sir William Heathcote, 5th Bt. and Hon. Caroline Frances Perceval, on 20 November 1883.1 She married, secondly, Henry Gourlay on 25 February 1897.1 She died on 22 November 1937.1
     From 20 November 1883, her married name became Heathcote.1 From 25 February 1897, her married name became Gourlay.1
