     Benjamin Stanley Young was born on 13 December 1851 at Pitcairn Island.1 He was the son of Simon Young and Mary Buffett Christian.1 He married Rebecca Holman Ascension McCoy, daughter of Matthew McCoy and Margaret Christian, on 20 October 1873 at Pitcairn Island.2 He died circa August 1934 at Pitcairn Island, from lockjaw after stepping on a sharp stick. He was buried on 16 August 1934 at Pitcairn Island.1
     Benjamin Stanley Young held the office of Chief Magistrate of Pitcairn Island between 1884 and 1885.3 He held the office of Chief Magistrate of Pitcairn Island in 1892.3 Ben was amond the 2nd wave of returnees from Norfolk to Pitcairn in 1864. He had travelled from Pitcairn to Norfolk in July of 1872, but did not stay. He returned to Pitcairn in September of 1873 to marry Rebecca to whom he had been engaged for some time.      In 1859 she was among the first wave of returnees from Norfolk to Pitcairn.1 From 20 October 1873, her married name became Young.2
