     Francis Palmer Landon was the son of Edward Palmer Landon.1 He married Nancy Blomefield, daughter of Sir Thomas Wilmot Peregrine Blomefield, 4th Bt. and Lilias Napier, on 1 June 1904.1 He died on 8 April 1963.1
     Francis Palmer Landon gained the rank of Major in the service of the Royal Army Service Corps, Reserve of Officers.1

     Robert Young was born on 6 January 1850 at Pitcairn Island.1 He was the son of Simon Young and Mary Buffett Christian.1 He married Alice Sophia McCoy, daughter of Matthew McCoy and Margaret Christian, on 23 August 1871 at Pitcairn Island.1 He died on 26 March 1872 at age 22 at Pitcairn Island, from consumption.1
     In 1864 Robert was among the second wave of returnees from Norfolk to Pitcairn.1
     He had been a sickly youth and young adult, and finally yielded to Sophia's insistance that they be married so 'she could nurse him back to health'. They had been engaged for some time. (Young: The Mutineers of the Bounty) Sadly, it didn't work, and Robert died of consumption only 7 months after they were married.

     Alice Sophia McCoy was born on 8 July 1848 at Pitcairn Island.1 She was the daughter of Matthew McCoy and Margaret Christian.1 She married, firstly, Robert Young, son of Simon Young and Mary Buffett Christian, on 23 August 1871 at Pitcairn Island.1 She married, secondly, Peter John Butler on 30 November 1875 at Pitcairn Island.2 She died on 28 February 1937 at age 88 at Pitcairn Island.1 She was buried on 28 February 1937 at Pitcairn Island.1
     Alice Sophia McCoy usually went by her middle name of Sophia. In 1859 she was among the first wave of returnees to Pitcairn from Norfolk.1 From 23 August 1871, her married name became Young.1 From 30 November 1875, her married name became Butler.2
     She was abandoned by her husband, Peter Butler, when he left the island and was never heard from again. She travelled a great deal throughout her life. After living for a time with a sister on Norfolk, then with another sister on Tahiti, she spent some years at Rarotonga and Aitutaki in the Cook Group, returning to Pitcairn in 1923.
