     Sir Edward Blount, 8th Bt. was born on 3 March 1795 at Mawley Hall, Worcestershire, England.1,2 He was the son of Sir Walter Blount, 7th Bt. and Anne Riddell.1 He married Mary Frances Blount, daughter of Edward Blount and Frances Wright, on 14 September 1830 at St. Mary's Church, Bryanston Square, Marylebone, London, England.1,2 He died on 28 April 1881 at age 86 at Mawley Hall, Worcestershire, England.1,2 He was buried at Mamble, Worcestershire, England.2
     Sir Edward Blount, 8th Bt. succeeded to the title of 8th Baronet Blount, of Sodington, co. Worcester [E., 1642] on 31 October 1803.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Worcestershire in 1835.1
