Lady Dorothy Legge was born on 24 June 1883.1 She was the daughter of Sir William Henage Legge, 6th Earl of Dartmouth and Lady Mary Coke.1 She married Colonel Francis Hugo Lindley Meynell, son of Hon. Frederick George Lindley Meynell and Lady Mary Susan Félicie Lindsay, on 3 October 1907.1 She died on 28 July 1974 at age 91.1
Her married name became Meynell. She was invested as a Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1945.1 She held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Staffordshire.1
