     Hon. North de Coigny Dalrymple-Hamilton was born on 31 October 1853. He was the son of John Hamilton Dalrymple, 10th Earl of Stair and Louisa Jane Henrietta Emily de Franquetot. He married Marcia Kathleen Anne Liddell, daughter of Hon. Sir Adolphus Frederick Octavious Liddell and Frederica Elizabeth Lane Fox, on 7 September 1880. He died on 4 November 1906 at age 53.
