     Nicholas Peter Bond was born in 1947.1 He is the son of Captain Tony Thawnton and Gabrielle Hilda Blunt.1 He married Diane Christine Edwards in 1970.1
     Nicholas Peter Bond was baptised with the name of Nicholas Peter Thawnton.1 On 1955 his name was legally changed to Nicholas Peter Bond.1 He was adopted by Julian M. Bond in 1955.1 He gained the rank of Wing Commander in the service of the Royal New Zealand Air Force.1 He gained the rank of Wing Commander in the service of the Royal Air Force.1 He retired from the military in 1994.1
