     George Booth was born on 9 March 1912.1 He was the son of Thomas Macaulay Booth and Elizabeth Alice Powell.1 He married Zoë Mary Borthwick Jardine, daughter of Captain George Jardine and Alice Cuninghame Spens, in 1939.1,2 He died on 15 August 1997 at age 85.1
