     William Osbert Boothby was born on 7 January 1866.1 He was the son of Reverend Evelyn Boothby and Margaretta Jane Carr.1 He married Hilda Lambert Swiney, daughter of Captain Henry Stephen Swiney, on 17 August 1907.1 He died on 20 May 1913 at age 47.1
     William Osbert Boothby fought in the Egyptian Campaign in 1882.1 He gained the rank of Commodore, 1st class in the service of the Royal Navy.1 He was invested as a Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.).1 He was invested as a Commander, Royal Victorian Order (C.V.O.).1 He fought in the Boxer Rebellion in 1900.1

     Lieutenant Osbert Stephen Boothby gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Royal Navy.1 He fought in the Second World War between 1939 and 1940.1
