     Major Christopher Evelyn Boothby was born on 15 September 1912.1 He was the son of William Osbert Boothby and Hilda Lambert Swiney.1 He married Pamela Gertrude Maitland-Heriot, daughter of Frederick Lewis Maitland-Heriot, on 25 May 1940.1 He died in 1991.1
     Major Christopher Evelyn Boothby was educated at Lancing College, Lancing, Sussex, England.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Major in the service of the Royal Marines.1
