     Maria Grimminck was born in 1560 at Roselare, Belgium.² She married Sir James Boreel, son of Peter Boreel and Catherine Josse, on 19 August 1584 at Middleburg, Zeeland, The Netherlands.^3,2 She died on 15 February 1605/6 at Middleburg, Zeeland, The Netherlands.²
     From 19 August 1584, her married name became Boreel.¹

     Jacoba Carels married Sir William de Boreel, 1st Bt., son of Sir James Boreel and Maria Grimminck, on 22 September 1626.¹ She died on 17 June 1657 at Paris, France.¹

     Lt.-Col. Sir John Boreel, 2nd Bt. was born on 29 October 1627.¹ He was the son of Sir William de Boreel, 1st Bt. and Jacoba Carels.¹ He married Amarantha van Vredenburgh on 7 November 1666.¹ He died on 29 March 1691 at age 63.¹

     Sir Balthasar Boreel, 5th Bt. was born on 21 May 1673.¹ He was the son of James Boreel and Isabella Coymans.¹ He married Apollonia Rendorp on 17 December 1720.¹ He died on 28 June 1744 at age 71, without issue.¹
     Sir Balthasar Boreel, 5th Bt. held the office of Counsellor Deputy of Holland.¹ He succeeded to the title of 5th Baronet Boreel, of Amsterdam, in Holland [E., 1645] on 15 July 1723.¹
