     Lt.-Col. Sir John Boreel, 2nd Bt. was born on 29 October 1627.1 He was the son of Sir William de Boreel, 1st Bt. and Jacoba Carels.1 He married Amarantha van Vredenburgh on 7 November 1666.1 He died on 29 March 1691 at age 63.1
     Lt.-Col. Sir John Boreel, 2nd Bt. gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the Dutch Army.1 He held the office of Marshal at the Court of the Prince of Orange, later King William III).1 He succeeded to the title of 2nd Baronet Boreel, of Amsterdam, in Holland [E., 1645] on 29 September 1668.1

     Sir William Boreel, 3rd Bt. was born on 4 October 1672.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Sir John Boreel, 2nd Bt. and Amarantha van Vredenburgh.1 He died on 23 September 1710 at age 37, unmarried.1
     Sir William Boreel, 3rd Bt. succeeded to the title of 3rd Baronet Boreel, of Amsterdam, in Holland [E., 1645] on 29 March 1691.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Dutch Army.1

     Lt.-Col. Sir Adrian Boreel, 4th Bt. was born on 9 December 1674.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Sir John Boreel, 2nd Bt. and Amarantha van Vredenburgh.1 He married Margaret van den Bosch.1 He died on 15 July 1723 at age 48, without male issue.1
     Lt.-Col. Sir Adrian Boreel, 4th Bt. succeeded to the title of 4th Baronet Boreel, of Amsterdam, in Holland [E., 1645] on 23 September 1710.1 He gained the rank of Chief D'Escadral in the service of the Portuguese Navy, roughly equal to a commodore.1 He gained the rank of Contra Admiral in the service of the Portuguese Navy, roughly equal to a rear-admiral.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the Dutch Army.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Dutch Navy.1

     James Boreel was born on 21 March 1630.1,2 He was the son of Sir William de Boreel, 1st Bt. and Jacoba Carels.1 He married Isabella Coymans on 26 February 1667.2 He died on 21 August 1697 at age 67.1
     James Boreel held the office of Dutch Ambassador to Russia.2 He held the office of Ambassador from the United Provinces to France.1 In 1697 he conducted peace preliminaries with France.2
