     Dr. Thomas Beddoes was born on 13 April 1760 at Shifnal, Shropshire, England.2 He married Anna Maria Edgeworth, daughter of Richard Lovell Edgeworth and Anna Maria Elers, in 1802.1,2 He died on 24 December 1808 at age 48 at Clifton by Bristol, Somerset, England.2
     Dr. Thomas Beddoes was educated at Bridgnorth Free Grammar School, Bridgnorth, Shropshire, England.2 He matriculated at St. John's College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, on 15 November 1775.2 He graduated from Pembroke College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1779 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).2 He graduated from Pembroke College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1783 with a Master of Arts (M.A.).2 He graduated from Pembroke College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1786 with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.).2 He graduated from Pembroke College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1786 with a Bachelor of Medicine (M.B.).2

     Francis Ysidro Edgeworth was born on 8 February 1845 at Edgeworthstown, County Longford, Ireland.2 He was the son of Francis Beaufort Edgeworth and Rosa Florentina Eroles.1 He died on 13 February 1926 at age 81 at Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.2
     Francis Ysidro Edgeworth was educated at Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.2 He graduated from Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1869 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).2 He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1877.2 He wrote the book New and Old Methods of Ethics, published 1877.2 He wrote the book Mathematical Psychics, an Essay on the Application of Mathematics to the Moral Sciences, published 1881.2 He wrote the book Metretike, or the Method of Measuring Probabilty and Utility, published 1887.2 He was Drummond Professor of Political Economy in 1891 at Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.2 He was editor of the Economic Journal between 1891 and 1926.2 He was invested as a Fellow, British Academy (F.B.A.) in 1903.2 He held the office of President of the Royal Statistical Society between 1912 and 1914.2 He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.2
