     Daniel Augustus Beaufort was born on 10 February 1814 at Woburn, Bedfordshire, England.1 He was the son of Rear-Admiral Sir Francis Beaufort and Alicia Magdalena Wilson.1 He married Emily Newel Davis, daughter of unknown Davis, in 1851.1,2 He died in 1898.1
