     Sir Erasmus Borrowes, 1st Bt. was the son of Henry Borrowes and Jane Savage.1 He married, firstly, Sarah Weldon, daughter of Walter Weldon and Jane Ryder, circa 1620.2 He married, secondly, Martha Salisbury, daughter of John Salisbury, circa 13 December 1632.2 He married, thirdly, Rebecca Thimbleby, daughter of William Thimbleby and Alice Clark, circa 11 January 1644.2 He died circa 1650.1
     He lived at Gilltown, County Kildare, IrelandG.2 He held the office of Sheriff of County Kildare from 1641 to 1642, when the Irish Rebellion broke out.2 He was created 1st Baronet Borrowes, of Grangemellon, co. Kildare [Ireland] on 14 February 1645/46.1
