     Henry William Parnell, 3rd Baron Congleton was born on 23 March 1809.1 He was the son of Henry Brooke Parnell, 1st Baron Congleton and Lady Caroline Elizabeth Dawson-Damer.2 He married, firstly, Sophia Bligh, daughter of Colonel Hon. William Bligh and Lady Sophia Stewart, on 28 May 1835.3 He married, secondly, Hon. Caroline Margaret Dawson, daughter of Hon. Lionel Charles Dawson and Lady Elizabeth Emily Nugent, on 10 March 1851.1 He died on 10 October 1890 at age 81.4
     Henry William Parnell, 3rd Baron Congleton gained the rank of officer in the service of the Royal Navy.1 He fought in the Battle of Navarino in 1827.1 He succeeded to the title of 3rd Baron Congleton, of Congleton, co. Chester [U.K., 1841] on 23 October 1883.1 He succeeded to the title of 6th Baronet Parnell, of Rathleague, Queen's Co. [I., 1766] on 23 October 1883.1
