     Captain John Gilbert Kennedy was born on 1 May 1854.1 He was the son of Lord Gilbert Kennedy and Margaret Baird.1 He married Henrietta Maria Louise Achenbach, daughter of Oswald Achenbach, on 11 April 1882.1 He died on 1 July 1923 at age 69.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the 11th Royal Prissuan Hussars.1 He fought in the Boer War between 1900 and 1902, where he won two medals and five clasps.1

     Captain William Gilbert Howard was born on 12 March 1877.1 He was the son of Alfred John Howard and Mary Alice Kennedy.2 He married Hon. Agnes Caroline Sophia Parnell, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Henry Parnell, 4th Baron Congleton and Elizabeth Peter Dove, on 19 December 1912.1 He died on 18 January 1960 at age 82.1
     He fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Royal Navy.1 He was invested as a Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1919.1 He lived at The Oast House, Stonegate, Sussex, England.2

     Hon. Agnes Caroline Sophia Parnell was born on 23 February 1889.2 She was the daughter of Maj.-Gen. Henry Parnell, 4th Baron Congleton and Elizabeth Peter Dove.2 She married Captain William Gilbert Howard, son of Alfred John Howard and Mary Alice Kennedy, on 19 December 1912.1 She died on 28 December 1968 at age 79.2
      Her married name became Howard. She held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Sussex.2

     Maj.-Gen. Henry Parnell, 4th Baron Congleton was born on 10 July 1839.1 He was the son of Henry William Parnell, 3rd Baron Congleton and Sophia Bligh.2 He married Elizabeth Peter Dove, daughter of Dugald Dove, on 17 June 1885.1 He died on 12 November 1906 at age 67.1
     He fought in the Crimean War, after the fall of Sebastopol.1 He was Aide-de-Camp to General Officer Commanding Windward and Leeward Islands between 1864 and 1866.1 He was commander of the 2nd Battalion, The Buffs.1 He fought in the Zulu War, including the Battle of Inyezane and occupation of Ekowe.1 He was invested as a Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1879.1 He gained the rank of Major-General.1 He was Commandant of the Straits Settlements between 1880 and 1882.1 He succeeded to the title of 7th Baronet Parnell, of Rathleague, Queen's Co. [I., 1766] on 10 October 1890.1 He succeeded to the title of 4th Baron Congleton, of Congleton, co. Chester [U.K., 1841] on 10 October 1890.1 He was Commandant of the Infantry Brigade, Malta between 1895 and 1902.1

Agnes Caroline Sophia Parnell.2 He married, firstly, Estelle Georgette Sharpe, daughter of Captain John Sharpe, on 9 November.1 He and Estelle Georgette Sharpe were divorced in 1946.1 He married, secondly, Hon. Jean Margaret Parnell, daughter of John Brooke Molesworth Parnell, 6th Baron Congleton and Hon. Edith Mary Palmer Howard, on 29 November 1952.1
     He was decorated with the award of the Military Cross (M.C.) (and bar) in 1936.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the 3rd King's Own Hussars.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He was decorated with the award of the Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1946.1 He lived in 2003 at Isle of Ulva, Aros, Mull, Argyllshire, Scotland.1

     Estelle Georgette Sharpe is the daughter of Captain John Sharpe.1 She married Lt.-Col. Frederick Henry Howard, son of Captain William Gilbert Howard and Hon. Agnes Caroline Sophia Parnell, on 9 November.2 She and Lt.-Col. Frederick Henry Howard were divorced in 1946.2

     John Brooke Molesworth Parnell, 6th Baron Congleton was born on 16 May 1892.1 He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Henry Parnell, 4th Baron Congleton and Elizabeth Peter Dove.2 He married Hon. Edith Mary Palmer Howard, daughter of Robert Jared Bliss Howard and Margaret Charlotte Smith, Baroness Strathcona and Mount Royal, on 6 April 1918.1 He died on 21 December 1932 at age 40.1
     He was educated at Royal Naval College, Osborne, Isle of Wight, England.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in the service of the Royal Navy (Emergency List).1 He succeeded to the title of 6th Baron Congleton, of Congleton, co. Chester [U.K., 1841] on 10 November 1914.1 He succeeded to the title of 9th Baronet Parnell, of Rathleague, Queen's Co. [I., 1766] on 10 November 1914.1 He graduated from McGill University, Montreal, Quebec, Canada, in 1921 with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.).1 He was registered as a Member, Institution of Mechanical Engineers (M.I.M.E.).1

     John William Howard was born on 18 January 1917.1 He was the son of Captain William Gilbert Howard and Hon. Agnes Caroline Sophia Parnell.2 He married Elizabeth Bligh Veasey, daughter of Captain Robert Francis Veasey, on 15 October 1949.1 He died in 1988.1
     He was educated at Gresham's School, Holt, Norfolk, England.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the 5th King's African Rifles.1 He fought in the Second World War, in Abyssinia and Madagascar, and was mentioned in despatches twice.1 He was with the Colonial Admininistation Service between 1939 and 1963 at Kenya.1 He graduated from Magdalene College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1946 with a Master of Arts (M.A.).1 He was with the Home Civil Service between 1963 and 1977.1
