     Reverend John William Fletcher Boughey was born on 6 June 1912.1 He was the son of Reverend Percy Fletcher Boughey and Elsie de Strange Herring.1 He married Esme Eleanor Howard, daughter of Henry Eliot Howard, on 25 April 1940.1 He died on 6 January 1971 at age 58, without issue.1
     He was educated at Haileybury College, Haileybury, Hertfordshire, England.1 He graduated from Pembroke College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1934 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).1 He graduated from Pembroke College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1938 with a Master of Arts (M.A.).1 He gained the rank of Chaplain of the Forces in 1941.1 He was the Vicar of Brakley with Halse.1 He was Rural Dean of Brackely.1 He was Canon of Peterborough in 1965.1
