Sir Frank Bowden, 1st Bt. was born on 30 January 1848.1 He was the son of William Bowden.1 He married Amelia Frances Houston, daughter of Colonel Alexander Houston, on 17 September 1879. He died on 25 April 1921 at age 73.1
Sir Frank Bowden, 1st Bt. was founder and chairman of Raligh Cycle Company, and Sturmey Archer Gears.1 He was invested as a Fellow, Royal Geographical Society (F.R.G.S.).1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.).1 He was created 1st Baronet Bowden, of the City of Nottingham [U.K.] on 23 June 1915.1

Sir Harold Bowden, 2nd Bt. was born on 9 July 1880.1 He was the son of Sir Frank Bowden, 1st Bt. and Amelia Frances Houston.1 He married, firstly, Vera Whitaker, daughter of Joseph Whitaker, on 7 July 1908. He and Vera Whitaker were divorced in 1919.1 He married, secondly, Muriel Smythe Ker-Douglas, daughter of William Ker-Douglas, on 18 January 1920.1 He married, thirdly, June Bowden MacKay, daughter of Thomas Henry MacKay, on 4 November 1952.1 He married, fourthly, Valerie Raymont Came, daughter of Richard Raymont Came, on 11 February 1957.1 He died on 24 August 1960 at age 80.1

Sir Frank Houston Bowden, 3rd Bt. was born on 10 August 1909.1 He was the son of Sir Harold Bowden, 2nd Bt. and Vera Whitaker.1 He married, firstly, Marie José Stiénon de Messey, daughter of Charles Stiénon and Comtesse Laure de Messey, on 28 April 1934.1 He and Marie José Stiénon de Messey were divorced in 1936.1 He married, secondly, Lydia Eveline Manolovici, daughter of Jean Manolovici, on 3 March 1937.1 He married, thirdly, Oriol Annette Mary Bath, daughter of Charles Hooper Bath, in 1989.1 He died on 1 December 2001 at age 92.1
