     Sir Harry Goring, 4th Bt. was baptised on 16 September 1679 at Slaugham, Sussex, EnglandG.1 He was the son of Henry Goring and Mary Covert.1 He married Elizabeth Mathew, daughter of Admiral Sir George Mathew, circa 25 February 1714.1 He died on 12 November 1731 at age 52 at Horsham, Sussex, EnglandG.1 He was buried on 16 November 1731 at Billingshurst, Sussex, EnglandG.1 His will was proven (by probate) on 26 November 1732.1
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Horsham between April 1707 and 1708.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Steyning between February 1709 and 1715.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the 31st Foot.1 He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Bowyer, of Highden, Sussex [E., 1678] in January 1712/13.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Horsham between 1715 and June 1715.1 His last will was dated 25 July 1731.
     He had eight younger sons.1

     Mary Covert is the daughter of Sir John Covert, 1st Bt.1 She married, secondly, Nicholas Best.2 She married, firstly, Henry Goring, son of Sir Henry Goring, 2nd Bt. and Frances Bishopp, on 2 February 1675.2
     Her married name became Best.2 From 2 February 1675, her married name became Goring.1

     Elizabeth Mathew was born circa 1668.1 She was the daughter of Admiral Sir George Mathew.1 She married Sir Harry Goring, 4th Bt., son of Henry Goring and Mary Covert, circa 25 February 1714.1 She died on 28 July 1768.1 Her will was proven (by probate) on 10 August 1768.1
     From circa 25 February 1714, her married name became Goring.1 Her last will was dated 17 October 1767.
