Henry Goring was born circa 1647.1 He was the son of Sir Henry Goring, 2nd Bt. and Frances Bishopp.1 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Morewood, daughter of Anthony Morewood, circa 3 October 1667.1 He married, secondly, Mary Covert, daughter of Sir John Covert, 1st Bt., in 1676. He died in 1687, slain by Sir Edward Dering, 3rd Bt..1
Henry Goring gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Regiment of Foot.1 He held the office of Sheriff of Sussex from 1681 to 1682.1 He lived at Wappingthorn, Steyning, Sussex, England.1

Sir Charles Goring, 3rd Bt. was born circa 1668.1 He was the son of Henry Goring and Elizabeth Morewood.1 He married Elizabeth Bridger, daughter of Richard Bridger and Frances Burrell, on 16 November 1699 at Knightsbridge Chapel, Knightsbridge, London, England.2 He died circa January 1712/13, without issue.1 He was buried on 13 January 1712/13 at Billingshurst, Sussex, England.2 His will (dated 16 April 1712) was probated on 17 March 1713.2
