     Sir John Boyd, 2nd Bt. was born on 27 October 1750 at Bath, Somerset, EnglandG.1 He was the son of Sir John Boyd, 1st Bt. and Mary Bumsted.1 He married Margaret Harley, daughter of Hon. Thomas Harley and Anne Bangham, on 26 February 1784.1 He died on 30 May 1815 at age 64.1
     He matriculated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, on 8 June 1768.1 He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, on 3 November 1772 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Wareham in 1780.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Boyd, of Danson, co. Kent [G.B., 1775] on 24 January 1800.1
     He sold the Danson estate shortly after inheriting it.1

     Margaret Harley was born circa 1766.1 She was the daughter of Hon. Thomas Harley and Anne Bangham.1 She married Sir John Boyd, 2nd Bt., son of Sir John Boyd, 1st Bt. and Mary Bumsted, on 26 February 1784.1 She died on 20 November 1830 at Isleworth, London, EnglandG.1 Her will was proven (by probate) in December 1830.1
     From 26 February 1784, her married name became Boyd.1

     Sir John Boyd, 3rd Bt. was born on 5 June 1786.1 He was the son of Sir John Boyd, 2nd Bt. and Margaret Harley.1 He married Harriet Boyd, daughter of Hugh Boyd and Rose Boyd, on 22 September 1818.1 He died on 19 January 1855 at age 68 at Boulogne-sur-Mer, FranceG.1
     He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Boyd, of Danson, co. Kent [G.B., 1775] on 30 May 1815.1
