     Sir Brook William Bridges, 4th Bt. was born on 22 June 1767 at Goodneston, Kent, England.1 He was the son of Sir Brook William Bridges, 3rd Bt. and Fanny Fowler.1 He married, firstly, Eleanor Foote, daughter of John Foote, on 14 August 1800 at Bexley, Kent, England.1 He married, secondly, Dorothy Elizabeth Hawley, daughter of Sir Henry Hawley, 1st Bt. and Dorothy Ashwood, on 15 December 1809.1 He died on 21 April 1829 at age 61 at Albemarle Street, London, England.1 His will was probated in May 1829.1 He was buried at Goodneston, Kent, England.1
     Sir Brook William Bridges, 4th Bt. was baptised with the name of William Bridges.1 His name was legally changed to Brook William Bridges by licence from the Bishop of the diocese, and by Act of Parliament.1,2 He succeeded to the title of 4th Baronet Bridges, of Goodneston, co. Kent [G.B., 1718] on 4 September 1791.1 He gained the rank of Commander in the service of the Royal Navy.1

     From 14 August 1800, her married name became Bridges.1
