     Barbara Muriel Mathews, Baroness Brooke of Ystrafellte was born on 14 January 1908.¹ She was the daughter of Reverend Alfred Augustus Mathews and Ethel Frances Evans.¹ She married Henry Brooke, Baron Brooke of Cumnor on 22 April 1933.¹ She died on 1 September 2000 at age 92.²
     Barbara Muriel Mathews, Baroness Brooke of Ystrafellte was educated at Queen Anne's School, Caversham, Oxfordshire, England.¹ She was educated at Gloucester Training College for Domestic Science, Gloucester, Gloucestershire, England.¹ From 22 April 1933, her married name became Brooke.² She was member of the Hampstead Council between 1948 and 1965.¹ She was joint vice-chairman of the Conservative Party between 1954 and 1964.¹ She was invested as a Dame Commander, Order of the British Empire (D.B.E.) in 1960.¹ On 1960 her name was legally changed to Dame Barbara Brooke.³ She was created Baroness Brooke of Ystradfellte, of Ystradfellte in the County of Breconshire [U.K. Life Peer] on 7 December 1964.¹ She was Honorary Fellow in 1968 at Queen Mary and Westfield Colleges, London University, London, England.¹

     Hon. Sir Henry Brooke was born on 19 July 1936.² He is the son of Henry Brooke, Baron Brooke of Cumnor and Barbara Muriel Mathews, Baroness Brooke of Ystrafellte.¹ He married Bridget Mary Kalaugher, daughter of Wilfrid George Kalaugher, on 16 April 1966.³
     Hon. Sir Henry Brooke was educated at Marlborough College, Marlborough, Wiltshire, England.³ He was educated in 1961 at Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).³ He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1963 entitled to practice as a barrister.³ He graduated from Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1964 with a Master of Arts (M.A.).³ He was invested as a Queen's Counsel (Q.C.) in 1981.³ He was invested as a Knight in 1988.³ He held the office of High Court Judge, Queen's Bench Division between 1988 and 1996.³ He held the office of Lord Justice of Appeal in 1996.³

     Hon. Honor Leslie Brooke was born on 2 April 1941.¹ She is the daughter of Henry Brooke, Baron Brooke of Cumnor and Barbara Muriel Mathews, Baroness Brooke of Ystrafellte.¹ She married Dr. Thomas Nigel Miller, son of Nathaniel Allan Miller, on 6 August 1966.¹
     Hon. Honor Leslie Brooke was educated at St. Mary's School, Calne, Wiltshire, England.¹ She was educated at University of Grenoble, Grenoble, France.¹ She was educated at St. Thomas' Hospital, London, England.¹ From 6 August 1966, her married name became Miller.¹ She was registered as a State Registered Nurse (S.R.N.).¹

     Dr. Thomas Nigel Miller is the son of Nathaniel Allan Miller.¹ He married Hon. Honor Leslie Brooke, daughter of Henry Brooke, Baron Brooke of Cumnor and Barbara Muriel Mathews, Baroness Brooke of Ystrafellte, on 6 August 1966.¹
     Dr. Thomas Nigel Miller was registered as a Member, Royal College of Physicians, London (M.R.C.P.).¹ He graduated with a Master of Arts (M.A.).¹
