     Frederic Charles Rowan was born in 1844.1 He married Marian Ellis Ryan, daughter of Charles Ryan and Marian Cotton, on 23 October 1873 at St. Stephen's Church, Richmond, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.1 He died in 1892.1
     He was managing director of the Australian Electric Company of Victoria.1
