     Sir Michael Bruce of Stenhouse, 8th Bt. was born on 31 March 1798.1 He was the son of Sir William Bruce of Stenhouse, 7th Bt. and Anne Colquhoun Fairlie.1 He married Isabella Moir, daughter of Alexander Moir and Margaret Gordon, on 10 June 1822.1 He died on 14 December 1862 at age 64, without issue.1
     Sir Michael Bruce of Stenhouse, 8th Bt. succeeded to the title of 8th Baronet Bruce, of Stenhouse [N.S., 1628] on 17 November 1827.1

     William Cunningham Bruce was born on 24 November 1798.1 He was the son of Sir William Bruce of Stenhouse, 7th Bt. and Anne Colquhoun Fairlie.1 He married Jane Catherine Clark, daughter of William Clark, in 1820.1 He died on 11 November 1842 at age 43.1
     William Cunningham Bruce was in the Bombay Civil Service.1
