     Sir Edward Francis Lauder Brunton, 3rd Bt. was born on 10 November 1916 at Montreal, Quebec, Canada.1,2 He was the son of Sir James Stopford Lauder Brunton, 2nd Bt. and Elizabeth Bonsall Porter.1 He married Marjorie Grant Lewis, daughter of David Sclater Lewis, on 30 December 1946.1 He died on 1 January 2007 at age 90 at Burlington, Ontario, Canada.2
      Sir Edward Francis Lauder Brunton, 3rd Bt. usually went by his middle name of Lauder.3 He was educated at Trinity College School, Port Hope, Ontario, Canada.1 He was educated at Bryanston School, Blandford, Dorset, England.1 He graduated from McGill University, Montreal, Quebec, Canada, with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.).1 He graduated from McGill University, Montreal, Quebec, Canada, with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.).1 He graduated from McGill University, Montreal, Quebec, Canada, with a Master in Surgery (C.M.).1 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps.1 He succeeded to the title of 3rd Baronet Brunton, of Stratford Place, St. Marylebone [U.K., 1908] on 25 July 1943.1 He was Honorary Attending Physician at Royal Victoria Hospital, Montreal, Quebec, Canada.1 He was invested as a Fellow, American College of Physicians (F.A.C.P.).1 He was invested as a Fellow, International Society of Haematology.1 He was Associate Professor of Medicine at McGill University, Montreal, Quebec, Canada.1 He lived in 2003 at Guysborough, Nova Scotia, Canada.1

      From 30 December 1946, her married name became Brunton.
