     Robert Henry Erskine was born on 26 July 1848.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Hon. David Erskine and Anne Maria Spode.1 He died on 5 November 1873 at age 25 at South Africa, killed during a native uprising.1

     Sir Michael Henry Gallwey was invested as a Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.).1 He held the office of Chief Justice of Natal between 1890 and 1901.1
