Andrew Buchanan of Ardenconnel was born on 12 July 1745.1 He was the son of Archibald Buchanan and Martha Murdoch.1 He married Jane Dennistoun, daughter of James Dennistoun, on 3 July 1769.1 He died on 14 July 1833 at age 88.1
