     Norman Macleod, 6th of Berneray was born circa 1715 at Unish, Waternish, Isle of Skye, Scotland.2 He was the son of Donald 'Old Trojan' Macleod and Anne Macleod.2 He married Margaret Macneil, daughter of Roderick ‘The Resolute' Macneil, 20th of Barra and Anne Macneil.1 He died in 1803 at Berneray, Outer Hebrides, Scotland.2

     Sir Ewen Cameron of Fassiefern, 1st Bt. was born in 1740.2 He was the son of John Cameron of Fassiefern.2 He married Catherine Macpherson.3 He married Louisa Campbell, daughter of Duncan Campbell of Barcaldine and Glenure and Mary Macpherson, on 2 November 1767.3 He died in 1828.2
     He was created 1st Baronet Cameron, of Fassiefern [U.K.].

     Jean Cameron is the daughter of Sir Ewen Cameron of Fassiefern, 1st Bt. and Louisa Campbell.2 She married Roderick Macneill of Barra, son of Roderick ‘The Resolute' Macneil, 20th of Barra and Anne Macneil, in 1787.1
     Jean Cameron also went by the nick-name of ‘The Fair Lady of Barra'.2 Her married name became Macneil.

     General Roderick Macneil, 21st of Barra was the son of Roderick Macneill of Barra and Jean Cameron.2 He married Isabella Brownlow, daughter of Lt.-Col. Charles Brownlow and Caroline Ashe, on 20 June 1818.1 He died on 22 October 1863, without male issue.1
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Inverness-shire.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Inverness-shire.1 He gained the rank of General in the 78th Highlanders.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)1 He was commander of the centre division, Madras Army.1 In 1838 he lost the estate of Barra through failure of the kelp industry and improvidence of his father.1

     Her married name became Douglas.1 From 1 October 1814, her married name became Campbell.
