     Lt.-Col. Charles Robert Hobart was born on 4 March 1808.1 He was the son of Reverend Henry Charles Hobart and Mary Beauchamp-Proctor. He married Maria Hodson, daughter of Lt.-Col. unknown Hodson, on 11 February 1840.1 He died on 28 January 1886 at age 77.1
     Lt.-Col. Charles Robert Hobart gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the 16th Regiment Madras Army.1
