Sir George Buswell, 1st and last Bt. was born circa 1625.1 He was the son of George Buswell and Elizabeth Kynnesman.1 He married Catherine Enyon, daughter of Sir James Enyon, 1st Bt. and Jane Newton, circa 1665.1 He died on 6 March 1667, without surviving issue.1 He was buried at Clipston, Northamptonshire, England.1 His will (dated 18 March 1667) was probated in 1668, wherein he founded a free school at Clipston.1
Sir George Buswell, 1st and last Bt. was created 1st Baronet Buswell, of Clipston, co. Northampton [England] on 7 July 1660.1 He held the office of Sheriff of Northamptonshire from 1662 to 1663.1
On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.1
