Major John McLean Rolls, 2nd Baron Llangattock was born on 25 April 1870 at London, England.2,1 He was the son of John Allan Rolls, 1st Baron Llangattock and Georgiana Marcia Maclean.1 He died on 31 October 1916 at age 46 at Boulogne, France, from wounds received in action.2,1

Monmouth [U.K., 1892] on 24 September 1912.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of Major in the service of the 4th Welsh Brigade, Royal Field Artillery.1
On his death, his title became extinct.1
