     Reverend George Edward Barnes was born on 26 March 1847 at Exeter, Devon, England.1 He was the son of William Barnes and Lucy Long.1 He married Elizabeth Mary Diana Long, daughter of William Long and Elizabeth Hare Joliffe, on 7 January 1886 at Holy Trinity Church, Brompton, Middlesex, England.1 He died on 25 June 1923 at age 76.1
