     Blanche Kavanagh was born circa 1850.1 She was the daughter of Thomas Henry Kavanagh, V.C..1 She married, firstly, Colonel Francis Newland Martin Maynard on 31 December 1869 at Lucknow, India.1 She married, secondly, John Long, son of Walter Long and Lady Mary Carnegie, on 19 January 1892 at Benares, India.1 She died on 27 September 1933 at Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England.1
     Circa 1858 she was a survivor of the Siege of Lucknow.1 From 31 December 1869, her married name became Maynard.1 From 19 January 1892, her married name became Long.1

     Thomas Henry Kavanagh, V.C. was born on 15 July 1821 at Mullingar, County Westmeath, Ireland.1 He died on 13 November 1882 at age 61 at Gibraltar.1 He was buried at North Front Cemetery, Gibraltar.1
     Thomas Henry Kavanagh, V.C. was with the Bengal Civil Service.2 He was decorated with the Victoria Cross (V.C.) on 8 July 1859, for his actions on 12 November 1857.2
