     Hubert Edward Buxton was born on 15 August 1901.1 He was the son of Edward Gurney Buxton and Laura Gurney.2 He married Anne Hawise Colleton Bowring, daughter of Lt.-Col. Arthur Hautayne Bowring, on 18 June 1932.1 He and Anne Hawise Colleton Bowring were divorced in 1948.1 He died in 1973.1
     Hubert Edward Buxton was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.3 He was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.1 He gained the rank of Major in the service of the East African Pioneer Corps.1 He was chairman of the Nakuru City Council in 1958.1
