     William Maynard, 2nd Baron Maynard was born circa 1623. He was the son of William Maynard, 1st Baron Maynard and Anne Everard. He married, firstly, Dorothy Banastre circa 1641. He married, secondly, Lady Margaret Murray, daughter of William Murray, 1st Earl of Dysart and Catherine Bruce, circa 30 May 1662.1 He died on 3 February 1688/89.1
     William Maynard, 2nd Baron Maynard gained the title of 2nd Baron Maynard.

     William Murray, 1st Earl of Dysart was the son of Reverend William Murray.2 He married Catherine Bruce, daughter of Colonel Norman Bruce, circa June 1636.1 He died circa 11 September 1653.1
     William Murray, 1st Earl of Dysart held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Fowey in 1626.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for East Looe from 1628 to 1629.1 He was created 1st Earl of Dysart, co. Fife [Scotland] on 3 August 1643.1 He was created 1st Lord Huntingtower, co. Perth [Scotland] on 3 August 1643.1

     From circa June 1636, her married name became Murray. As a result of her marriage, Catherine Bruce was styled as Countess of Dysart on 3 August 1643.
