     Richard Cadman was born on 1 November 1894.1 He was the son of James Cope Cadman and Betty Keeling.2 He married, firstly, Eileen Mary Johnson, daughter of E. W. Johnson.1 He married, secondly, Amy Howson, daughter of George Howson.1 He and Amy Howson were divorced.3 He died on 6 November 1957 at age 63.1
     Richard Cadman fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Royal Flying Corps.1 He gained the rank of Squadron Leader in the service of the 614 Squadron, Royal Auxiliary Air Force.1 He fought in the Second World War.3 He gained the rank of Air Commodore in the service of the Auxiliary Air Force.1 He was invested as a Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1951.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Glamorgan.1
