     James Butler, 7th Baron Caher was born on 1 August 1711.1 He was the son of Thomas Butler, 6th Baron Caher and Frances Butler.1 He married Christian Moore, daughter of Michael Moore and Alice Alcock, in January 1739.1 He died on 6 June 1786 at age 74 at Lyon, FranceG, without issue.1
     He succeeded as the 7th Baron Caher [I., 1583] on 29 May 1744.1 He was found on a passenger list on 20 December 1794; 6 June 1786.1

     Christian Moore was the daughter of Michael Moore and Alice Alcock.1 She married James Butler, 7th Baron Caher, son of Thomas Butler, 6th Baron Caher and Frances Butler, in January 1739.1 She died on 20 July 1759.1
     From January 1739, her married name became Butler.1 After her marriage, Christian Moore was styled as Baroness Caher on 29 May 1744.
