John Ochtery Cameron, 8th Chief of Clan Cameron married Elaine Mowat.1
He held the position of 8th Chief of Clan Cameron.2 He was probably a cadet of the Camerons of Ballegarno, Angus, who apparently died out in the main line c 1300.1 He fought in the Battle of Halidon Hill on 19 July 1333, where he led a contingent of Lochaber men fighting on behalf of King David II.1 In 1357 he was granted lands in Strathdon formerly held by the 9th Earl of Mar.1

Donald 'Dhu' Cameron, 11th Chief of Clan Cameron is the son of Allan MacOchtery Cameron, 9th Chief of Clan Cameron.2 He married unknown heiress MacMartin.1
