Ewen Cameron of Lochiel, 13th Chief of Clan Cameron was the son of Allan MacIldny Cameron, 12th Chief of Clan Cameron and Mariot Macdonnel.2 He married, secondly, Marjorie Mackintosh, daughter of William Mackintosh, 13th Chief of Clan Mackintosh.1 He married, firstly, unknown daughter Macdonald, daughter of Celestine Macdonald of Lochalsh.1 He died in 1547 at Elgin, Morayshire, Scotland, beheaded for treason.1
Ewen Cameron of Lochiel, 13th Chief of Clan Cameron fought in the Battle of Blarnan-Leine, where he fought with Clanranald against the Frasers.1 He held the position of 13th Chief of Clan Cameron. On 29 July 1492 he had a charter of lands in Ross from John, 11th Earl of Ross and Lord of the Isles.1 On 24 October 1495 he had confirmation of the lands in Ross and of lands in Lochiel from King James IV.1 On 6 June 1531 he had charter of Inverlochy, Teulindy, Drumfour and other lands from King James V.1 In 1546 he was involved in the pro-English activity of Matthew Stuart, 13th Earl of Lennox, was taken prisoner by 4th Earl of Huntly and tried for high treason.1
