     Sir William Goring was the son of John Goring and Constance Dyke.2 He married Elizabeth Covert, daughter of John Covert.1 He died on 2 March 1553.1
     He held the office of Master of the Horse to King Henry VIII.1 He held the office of Gentleman of the Privy Chamber to King Edward VI.1 He held the office of Sheriff of Sussex in 1531.1 He held the office of Sheriff of Surrey in 1531.1 He held the office of Sheriff of Sussex in 1536.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Sussex in 1547.1 He held the office of Sheriff of Sussex.2 He lived at Burton, Sussex, EnglandG.1
