Archibald Campbell was born in 1750/51.1 He was the son of David Campbell and unknown wife (?).2 He married Margaret Philip, daughter of Robert Philip.1 He died on 3 January 1782, killed in action.1
Archibald Campbell gained the rank of Ensign in 1775 in the service of the 71st (Fraser’s) Highlanders.1 He fought in the Battle of Videaur Bridge on 3 January 1782.1
