     Lt.-Col. Henry Parry Carden was born on 22 February 1854.¹ He was the son of Henry Daniel Carden and Catherine Rebecca de Winton.² He married Araby Burton, daughter of Howard Burton, on 26 August 1897.¹ He died on 19 December 1910 at age 56.¹
     Lt.-Col. Henry Parry Carden gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel and Brevet Colonel in the service of the Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry.¹

     Araby Burton was the daughter of Howard Burton.² She married, firstly, Edward Nugent Greer before 1897.¹ She married, secondly, Lt.-Col. Henry Parry Carden, son of Henry Daniel Carden and Catherine Rebecca de Winton, on 26 August 1897.¹ She died on 7 January 1942.¹

     Catherine Constance Carden was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Henry Parry Carden and Araby Burton.² She died on 7 January 1979, unmarried.¹

     Sybil Parry Carden is the son of Lt.-Col. Henry Parry Carden and Araby Burton.² He married Maj.-Gen. Francis David Rome, daughter of Francis James Rome, on 15 September 1936.¹

     Maj.-Gen. Francis David Rome was invested as a Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.).¹ She was decorated with the award of Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.).¹ She gained the rank of Major-General in the service of the Royal Fusiliers.¹ She was invested as a Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.).¹ She was invested as a Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.).¹ From 15 September 1936, her married name became Carden.
