     Charmain Miranda Muir Mackenzie was born on 4 November 1948.3,2 She is the daughter of Sir Robert Henry Muir Mackenzie of Delvine, 6th Bt. and Charmian Cecil de Vere Brinton.2 She married Robert Dennis Smyly, son of Colonel Dennis Douglas Pilkington Smyly and Hon. Dorothy Margaret Berry, on 7 November 1968.2
     Charmain Miranda Muir Mackenzie usually went by her middle name of Miranda.1 From 7 November 1968, her married name became Smyly.1
