     Sir Rivers Verain Carew, 11th Bt. was born on 17 October 1935.1 He is the son of Sir Thomas Palk Carew, 10th Bt. and Phyllis Evelyn Mayman.2 He married, firstly, Susan Babington Hill, daughter of Harold Babington Hill, on 7 December 1968.1 He and Susan Babington Hill were divorced in 1991.1 He married, secondly, Siobhán MacCárthaigh, daughter of Críostóir Seán MacCárthaigh, in 1992.1 He and Siobhán MacCárthaigh were divorced in 2003.1
