     Alfred Ezra Sassoon was born in 1861.1 He was the son of Sassoon David Sassoon.2 He married Theresa Georgina Thornycroft, daughter of Thomas Thornycroft and Mary Francis, in 1882. He died in 1895, from tuberculosis.1

     Theresa Georgina Thornycroft was born in 1855 at St. Pancras, London, EnglandG.1 She was the daughter of Thomas Thornycroft and Mary Francis.2 She married Alfred Ezra Sassoon, son of Sassoon David Sassoon, in 1882. She died in 1947.1
     From 1882, her married name became Sassoon.1

     2nd Lt. Hamo Watts Sassoon was born in 1887 at Matfield, Brenchley, Kent, EnglandG.1 He was the son of Alfred Ezra Sassoon and Theresa Georgina Thornycroft.1 He died on 1 November 1915, from wounds received in action, on board the hospital ship S.S. Kildonan Castle.1
     He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in the Royal Engineers.1 He fought in the Gallipoli Campaign, and was wounded at Suvla Bay, losing his leg.1

     Siegfried Loraine Sassoon was born on 8 September 1886 at Weirleigh House, Matfield, Brenchley, Kent, EnglandG.1 He was the son of Alfred Ezra Sassoon and Theresa Georgina Thornycroft.1 He married Hester Gatty in 1933.1 He died on 1 September 1967 at age 80.1
     He was educated at New Beacon Preparatory School, Kent, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Marlborough College, Marlborough, Wiltshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Clare College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of officer in May 1915 in the 1st Battalion, Royal Welsh Fusiliers.1 He wrote the book Counter-Attack & Other Poems.1 He wrote the book The Complete Memoirs of George Sherston.1 He wrote the book Siegfried's Journey, published 1945.1

     George Thornycroft Sassoon was born on 30 October 1936 at London, EnglandG.1 He was the son of Siegfried Loraine Sassoon and Hester Gatty.1 He married, firstly, Stephanie Munro in 1955.2 He and Stephanie Munro were divorced in 1961.2 He married, secondly, Marguerite Dicks in 1961.2 He and Marguerite Dicks were divorced in 1974.2 He married, thirdly, Susan Christian-Howard in 1975.2 He and Susan Christian-Howard were divorced in 1985.2 He married, fourthly, Alison Smeall in 1994.2 He died on 8 March 2006 at age 69.1
     He was educated at King's College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG.1 He was a linguist and engineer.1

     Horatio Townshend, 1st Viscount Townshend of Raynham was baptised on 16 December 1630.2 He was the son of Sir Roger Townshend, 1st Bt. and Hon. Mary de Vere.2 He married, firstly, Mary Lewkenor, daughter of Sir Edward Lewkenor and Elizabeth Russell, before 13 April 1659.2 He married, secondly, Mary Ashe, daughter of Sir Joseph Ashe, 1st Bt. and Mary Wilson, on 27 November 1673.2 He died circa 7 December 1687.2 He was buried on 10 December 1687.2
     He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Townshend, of Rainham, co. Norfolk [E., 1617] in 1647/48.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Norfolk between 1656 and 1658.2 He held the office of Chacenllor of State from May 1659 to December 1659.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Norfolk in 1660.2 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Norfolk from 1661 to February 1675/76.2 He was created 1st Baron Townshend of Lynn Regis, co. Norfolk [England] on 20 April 1661.2 He was created 1st Viscount Townshend of Raynham, co. Norfolk [England] on 11 December 1682.2
